6. Who do I contact about problems with my ergomo pro and software?
If you bought your ergomo from us, then contact us first. We'll do our best to de-bug your issues.

7. I am having a problem with my ergomo communicating with my PC computer.
It's possible you have a COM port conflict. Do you have any other devices installed on your PC? PDA? Camera? Phone? If so, then unplug them and re-boot your PC.

Are you using a USB/Serial port adapter? If so, then it's very important that you install the USB adapter software first, and make sure that the USB adapter can communicate with your PC computer. Make sure to note which COM PORT the USB adapter is using. Then once that is working, you should be able to select the correct Com in your ErgoRacer software. To change your Com port settings double click on ERGORACER HOME and then look under the APPLICATION SETTINGS for POWER METER PORT.

8. My ergomo has a blank screen, what's wrong?
Most likely your ergomo needs to be 're-set'. Turn over the computer, and press the reset button. Use a ball end 1.5mm allen key. IF you use a small paperclip, you risk puncturing the seal. The button is fairly deep in the computer, so you need to press the tool into the reset hole until you feel the button depress.

Or, you need to charge your ergomo and then re-set it.

9. I do not have a SERIAL port! What do I need to do?
You will need to buy a USB/SERIAL port adapter.
Here in the USA, the best one is the KEYSPAN -19HS adapter. The most important thing is that you install the KEYSPAN software FIRST and then make sure the adapter can talk to your PC computer. Note which COM port your USB adapter software says that your USB is attached to. You need to make sure to change this in ErgoRacer.

10. I have a USB/Serial port adapter, but I still can't get the ergomo pro to talk to my PC.
1) There is a very specific 'order' to plugging in the adapter in order to get it to talk to the PC and ErgoRacer.
    1) Turn on your PC computer.
    2) Plug in your USB/Serial Adapter.
    3) Open ErgoRacer software
    4) Confirm you have the correct Power Meter Port(Com port)

If you turn on ErgoRacer first and then plug in the USB/Serial Adapter, then it's likely it won't find the adapter.

2) Some USB/Serial adapters will not work with some PC computers. That is normal. Some customers will have to buy maybe 3-5 different USB adapters before they will find one that works with their ergomo Pro and PC computer. This is normal for all, so if you are not able to get your ergomo pro to talk to the software, then it's possible that you need to buy a different USB/Serial adapter.

3) Do you have a PDA or phone or camera attached to your PC computer that is using the Com port?

IF so, it's possible that you need to unplug that, and then re-boot your PC to release the Com Port. In extreme cases, you might have to actually 'delete' the Com Port, in order to get it to release. This is done in SETTINGS>CONTROL PANEL>SYSTEM>HARDWARE>DEVICE MANAGER

11. Why does the ergomo pro Infrared(IR) download not work?
The hardware on the ergomo pro is ready for the IR download,but some changes need to be done to the firmware and this should be completed probably by summer 2006.
